Isle of Arran
Arran is one of my favourite places in Scotland, my family and I are frequent visitors. These guides will hopefully be useful if you’re planning a trip to Arran and want to photograph it. Lamlash is one of the largest villages on Arran and just 3 miles from Brodick and the main ferry terminal for the island. There are amazing views over to the nearby Holy Isle.
To capture these photographs an alarm was set to ensure that I was up for sunrise. Luckily I was staying just across the road from the location that I had planned for the photography. Once I had got the photographs I was able to go back to bed, with another alarm set for breakfast.
There were some good opportunities fo different photographs. Some just across the bay, others with boats on the sea front that helped to mask the sun and provide some foreground.
Wake Up in Lamlash
I would strongly recommend a trip to Lamlash on the Isle of Arran. It is very easy to get to and there are some excellent locations for photography. Look out for more Arran location guides coming soon to this blog. If you are interested in any of my photography services please get in touch using the button below.
