Photography Competition

I had a fantastic response to my photography competition, which ran through the first seven months of 2023. The criteria were for pictures of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs.

There was a wide range of photographs with different compositions and locations. Choosing a winner from the many excellent entries was incredibly difficult.

The winner is Jamie Ballantine of Blanefield, with his photograph of a view towards the Cobbler at sunset. Pictured above are the winning image and the photographer with his prize of a large wall art version of his winning photograph, plus a £50 Amazon voucher for photography books and the chance to join one of my Loch Lomond Photography Workshops. Keep reading to find out why I chose his entry to be the winner.

Pictured below are some of the incredible entries received for the competition.

When I presented Jamie with his prize, he told me that he is delighted his photograph won:

'I love seeing it printed and framed. Winning the competition has given me a real boost and has spurred me on to get out with the camera and continue to pursue my interest in photography'.

Well done Jamie!

As you can see from these examples of entries, selecting a winner was not easy. I enjoyed receiving the pictures, which featured many locations in the National Park. Lots of the photographs showed dramatic weather and the fantastic landscapes we have.

This competition was run with Park Life Magazine and See Loch Lomond.
