Commercial Photographer in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs
Alongside my photography work, I run a marketing consultancy supporting businesses, charities and organisations. That combination means my commercial photography is never created in isolation. Every shoot is shaped around how the images will actually be used, whether that’s on a website, in PR, advertising, social media, brochures or wider campaigns.
Based in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, I work closely with local businesses, venues, visitor attractions and organisations, as well as clients elsewhere in Scotland. I create commercial photography for organisations that need images they can rely on. Photography that feels natural, credible and purposeful, and that works across multiple platforms rather than being shot in isolation.
Much of my commercial work supports tourism, hospitality, events and organisations based in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, alongside projects elsewhere in Scotland when a good fit.
Accommodation Photography
Based in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, I regularly photograph hotels, B&Bs, guest houses, lodges, Airbnbs and unique stays such as cabins and yurts, both within the National Park and across Scotland.
High-quality accommodation photography plays a key role in attracting bookings. I focus on natural, well-considered images that clearly show spaces, highlight key features, and reflect the property's character and setting. The aim is to help potential guests understand what it actually feels like to stay there and to encourage direct bookings.
Food and Drink Photography
Scotland has an exceptional food and drink scene, and I’ve been photographing producers, pubs, cafés, restaurants, and distilleries for many years.
My food and drink photography captures both production and the finished experience, showing provenance, craft and the people behind the product. These images are widely used across websites, menus, PR, packaging, social media and marketing campaigns.
Product and Service Photography
I work with businesses to create product and service photography for use online and in print. Shoots can take place on location to create an authentic, real-world feel, or in a studio setting for clean, simple product images.
This type of photography is particularly effective for websites, brochures, advertising and e-commerce, helping customers quickly understand what you offer and how it’s used.
Event Photography
Event photography focuses on capturing atmosphere, action and key moments, with a fast turnaround so images can be used quickly for PR, social media and post-event promotion.
News and PR Photography
I provide news and PR photography either as part of a wider PR brief or as a standalone commission. I work closely with media organisations and understand what editors need from images to maximise coverage.
My photography has been used by national and regional media outlets across Scotland and the UK.
Staff Profile and Team Photography
Photographing you and your team helps humanise your organisation and build trust with customers. I make staff photography straightforward and relaxed, often photographing people in context while they work, alongside natural portraits where appropriate.
These images work well across websites, LinkedIn, reports, proposals and marketing materials.
Destination and Tourism Photography
I work with visitor attractions, destinations and tourism organisations to create commercial photography that supports marketing, storytelling and promotion.
This includes photography for attractions, experiences and wider destination marketing. I also maintain a scenic stock library featuring landscapes and locations across Loch Lomond and the Trossachs and other parts of Scotland, available for commissioned use.
