Wedding and Portrait Photographer in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs
I’m Paul Saunders, a wedding and portrait photographer based in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. I photograph people visiting the area or choosing it as a special place to be photographed, including couples, families, and individuals.
I photograph relaxed weddings, natural portrait sessions and people-focused commercial projects. Much of my work takes place within Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, with people travelling here from elsewhere in Scotland and beyond. I also work across Scotland when required.
My approach is calm, straightforward and rooted in storytelling. I focus on honest moments rather than staged poses, which works especially well for people who feel a little unsure about being photographed.

Beautiful Loch Lomond is my base, and over the last 15 years, I've worked with almost every significant business and organisation within Scotland's first National Park. I've also photographed many weddings and families.
Photography assignments have taken me to every corner of Scotland, and I love working in its incredible landscapes and vibrant cities.
Photography shaped by place
Back in Loch Lomond, I live and work amongst the dramatic scenery, providing me with so much inspiration. My love of Loch Lomond led me to publish a photoguide book, '101 Things to Do in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs'. This work sits alongside my See Loch Lomond website, which has had over 2 million visits.
Sustainable Photography
I have a sustainability pledge that supports charities and not-for-profit organisations within the National Park. This pledge allows me to give something back to help protect the incredible landscapes that are so special to me.
Charitable Support
Over the last few years, I have been pleased to support charities, including Friends of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs, Loch Lomond Steamship Company, Drymen Community Development Trust, and Steamship Sir Water Scott Trust. The support has come in the form of cash donations and free support.
A storytelling approach
Whether I am photographing a person, family, wedding, event, or business, my driver is stories. My authentic storytelling photographs provide people with something lasting, often images that capture a moment and bring joy in the years that follow.
People, places and real moments
What I love about my photography job is the rich, varied work I get and the people I meet through it. Over the years, I have photographed bands, models, TV presenters, food and drink, weddings, families, dogs, cats and horses!
Photography on Location in Scotland
You will often find me working on boats, by lochs, in wedding venues, at events and across outdoor locations throughout Scotland. Loch Lomond & The Trossachs is such an exciting place to be. It's a beautiful place to get married or be photographed on holiday.
