Bride looking at her Grahpi Wedding Album

Wedding Albums

Presenting a wedding or portrait album once printed to a client is one of the most enjoyable moments of my job. Claire has just received her wedding album and is seeing it for the first time.

Albums are something to treasure and pass on to future generations. So make sure you preserve your memories for many years to come.

Designing your Wedding or Portrait Album

The Value of a Wedding Album

This guide explains the process of creating your bespoke handmade wedding album. But before we get into that, do you need an album?

All my clients get all the final edited digital images, so they have everything, although there is a word of warning here. When I started, I put all of the images onto a CD; now, technology has moved on, so what will happen when you want to look at your wedding pictures a decade or even 20 years from now?

Preserving Wedding Memories

The beauty of an album is that it is guaranteed for life and contains the story of one of the most important and memorable days of your life.

Enough of that. Let's go through the process of creating a portrait or wedding album.

Storytelling Photography

As I photograph a wedding or a family portrait, I think about the story I will be telling in an album and shoot a series of images that will flow beautifully in an album.

Album First Draft

It's much easier for my clients to see what an album design looks like rather than just choosing pictures. I've tried both methods! I will design an album and share it electronically with my client. I have a fantastic system that helps manage this, producing a page-turning album design for my clients to review.

Making Album Changes

My proofing system makes it easy for clients to advise on requests for layout or picture changes. Generally, we will go back and forth a few times until the final layout is decided upon, which is essential as I want to ensure couples get the best album possible.

Graphi Albums

I work exclusively with Graphi Albums, the industry leader in wedding albums. They continuously develop new album options, and thousands of combinations are available. Over the years, I have understood the style that most clients will love, but don't worry, any requests for covers or personalisation are possible, and both me and I love the challenge of any unusual request

Typical Album Finishing

You can see some examples on this page, and my clients mostly love a picture cover. We make a featured image and wrap it in plastic for a stunning finish. I can also offer leather and woven covers and the option for personalised boxes and cases. Replica Albums

Once you've signed off on the main album, it is possible to get replica ones made, ideal for parents, bridesmaids, or grandparents.

Handmade in Italy

Albums are handmade in Italy at a castle by Graphi Studio. The rigid lay flat pages have the images printed onto them, so it's a high-quality book for your special day. The album has a lifetime guarantee from Graphi for its production. Graphi also keeps a master of every album they make for life to allow a reprint if something awful happens.

A lifetime of memories

Think about it this way: your wedding album could be passed on to your grandchildren by your children! You are making a family heirloom and ensuring you preserve your unforgettable memories for a lifetime and beyond!
