Altskeith House Wedding Venue

I can't tell you how much I love photographing weddings at Altskeith Country House on Loch Ard.

With its beautiful lochside setting in the Trossachs, it has to be one of the most scenic locations for a wedding in Scotland. What makes the wedding so special is the host Alison, who, together with partner Yas, ensures that everything is relaxed and the day runs smoothly.

Amazing Scottish Wedding Venue

Back to those views, Loch Ard is beautiful, surrounded by a forest, with Ben Lomond towering in the distance. This is shown in the picture at the top of this page.

This fantastic wedding venue is close to where I live, and the many weddings I have photographed here have been unique. Each couple, their family and friends bring something different, making good use of the beautiful grounds and excellent inside space.

Where is Altskeith Country House?

Altskeith House is along the lochside road from Aberfoyle, the nearest village. It is within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park but less than an hour from Glasgow. No wonder people come from all over the UK (and the world) to get married at Altskeith House on Loch Ard.

Ben Lomond Views

On good weather days when the loch is calm newly married couples can even get on Loch Ard by rowing boat for amazing views of Ben Lomond and Altskeith House. For me this is a real highlight of the wedding and what helps to make Altskeith House unique as a venue for wedding photography.
